At 24 years old, my life was all planned out, or so I thought. I had just graduated from college and landed my first salary job. On top of that, I was engaged and planning my wedding. Little did I know, my life was about to change forever. In December, 2005, I had a headache that lasted for two weeks. The day after Christmas, I was diagnosed with an in-operable brain tumor.

My journey has been complicated and emotional with many ups and downs and I feel it is important to share my story. I have provided information and useful links for your reference. My diagnosis and recovery involved many different medical facilities. The purpose of this web page is not to plug any one facility, but to tell my story from the beginning. Also, I feel that creating this site has helped me to accept what has happened and is therapeutic for me. I hope my story can help other people.
I want to thank my parents and my brother for showing me unconditional love and support. My parents were faced with difficult decisions that were crucial to my health care. Updates about my condition were hard to bear, yet my dad never gave up looking for answers and has been my rock throughout this process. My mom was instrumental in coordinating numerous appointments from many different medical and rehabilitation centers. Everyone listed on this web site has been equally important in my recovery. I could not have come this far without their help and am very blessed to have them in my life.
I am looking forward to moving on with my life. I will keep you all posted on my progress!
Prayers do get answered and miracles do happen!
